Nicholas Lavon "Nick" Cason

Blackshear, GA

Mr. Nicholas Lavon "Nick" Cason, 25, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 5, 2005, at his residence following a long illness.

A native and life-long resident of Pierce County, he was a carpenter and was a member of the Offerman Church of God. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Faye Cason, and also by an uncle, Neal Cason.

Survivors are his mother, Jennifer Cason of Blackshear; a daughter, Kristen Cason of Blackshear; a sister, Nicole (Rocky) Smith of Waycross; a brother, Hunter Cason of Blackshear; his grandfather, Simon Lavon "Peanut" Cason of Patterson; three aunts, Brenda (Ellis) Denison and Grace (Buddy) Gill all of Offerman and Nola Moody of Hortense; an uncle, Jeffrey Cason of Patterson; a niece, Brittney Smith of Waycross; two cousins, Drew Denison of Offerman and Casey Cason of Atlanta and several other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Cason will be held Thursday, July 7, 2005, at 11:00 o’clock from the Offerman Church of God.

Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Cason will be held Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Cason will lay in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
