Not sure what to say?

You were a kind man Mr. Dodge. Also very perceptive and sharp. Your interest in other people and their faiths was heartwarming and Im glad you even enjoyed reading the Quran.
Hopefully we will meet on another plane at another time.

I believe my dad, Hugh Smith Jr., worked with Nick Dodge at the Corps of Engineers, and only had good things to say about him. Sorry for your loss.
Barb Smith

I met Nick last year through my friends. He was a kind soft spoken man. I feel blessed that I knew him. Rest in Peace, Nick

I am saddened by Nick's unexpected passing, especially because he was moved back to his own house only a week or so before his death. My brother and I knew Nick quite well, especially during the 1970's and 1980's. He was a kind, generous, and friendly man--hugely talented, knowledgeable, and skilled in so many ways. He never said a bad word about anyone. Darryl and I will miss him.

I have known Nick and Kay since November 1965. Nick was a great instructor during my 18 month system analysis training with the Corps of Engineers North Pacific Division in Portland, OR. He was the one who hired me to come and work for the Corps in 1983 and has always been a great supervisor since that time until he retired in 1996. Kay has also been very kind and supportive to us. A couple we owe a lot of gratitude to and will fondly remember for years to come... Bolyvong Tanovan

Will always remeber our China trip with the corps of Engineers. Kay was a fun person to travel with. Nolan Folden

We have known Nick Dodge since 1965. He was a great and always ready to help. He actually hired me to work for the US Army of Engineers in 1983 and has always been an excellent supervisor. His late wife has also been very kind to us. Very sad news indeed. Bolyvong Tanovan, from Beaverton, OR

Sorry to hear of Nick's passing. We were in the same class at OSU, and shared many of the same outdoor interests.

Dearest Nick,
I am so sorry we didn't get our last outing out for lunch, your haircut and your feet done. I talked to you for the last time about a week before you passed, and you told me you would call me in a week to set things up..... I've been waiting and waiting... Until I got the call that you passed away on sept 28th...my heart is hurting so much right now knowing our trips tp scholls cafe for lunches and grabbing our raspberries on our way home will never happen again.
