Not sure what to say?

I knew Nick when he attended GW medical school, from a group of friends that would chum around. I knew he had passed away some time ago, but I continue to think of him from time to time, and the happy times we had when we were in our 20's. I'm now 58, and I continue to mourn the loss of my friend, and all that he could have been...

Big hugs Nick, wherever you are...you will always be remembered for the good man, the good friend, and the great physician that you were.

It has taken me such a long time to write my condolences as I could not express my grief on paper. I have had many losses in my life but his loss has effected me to my core. My lifelong friend has departed this world. What a wonderful, caring human being! We shared our childhood, our birthdays, as well as a strong connection which sustained us whether we saw each other once a year or once in twenty years. I will truly miss Nickie and what he meant to me and all that was important in my life.

My brother, Nick, was an extraordinary and complex person. He was highly educated in both science and the arts, yet was so humble in talking about his accomplishments. He entered the world of clinical research in the pharmaceutical industry, yet his compassionate bedside manner was evident whenever he spoke to family or friends about their own medical conditions. He craved friends and family, yet sometimes found it difficult to be open to their love and concern. He could talk authoritatively...

I have been teaching forty years and sometimes have trouble remembering who is sitting in front of me, but as soon as I heard Nick's name, a flood of pleasant memories came back, memories of a bright, energetic, talented individual whom I met long ago and who made it easy for me to decide to stay in teaching. I am not at all surprised to hear of all he achieved and the people he touched in his work. He was a special person whose memory I will continue to carry with me and revisit fondly. He...

Almost from our first day together at Prep in 1C, September 1973, Nick and I bonded. And through the good times and the bad, through all those 33 years, Nick was always there, the best friend a person could ever have. He will be in my heart and in my memory forever.

To a great 'paesano' from medical school: Your positive outlook was uplifting through countless days of stress. May your spirit live on and continue to inspire others.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Nick's death. Nick and I were class mates at Saint Joseph's Prep. My prayers go out to his family and I pray that God's love will provide comfort during this difficult time.

I am very sad to hear of Nick's death. I attended GW med school with him. I would like to extend my sympathy to all of his friends and family.

My wife and I became aquainted with Nicholas in our work in clinical research. Last spring, I took my 10 year old daughter on her first trip to Washington D.C.. He was a wonderful host for us. His kindness to my daughter will always be remembered.
