Not sure what to say?

Nick and George Karras were such an important part of my life as a teenager in the 1970s. I worked as a cook at Karras Restaurant before, during, and after their transition to Greek cuisine. Nick was a kind man who taught and gave me responsibility and a good work ethic. He believed that the best advertising was word-of-mouth. He loved visiting with his regular customers, many of whom were on the Outagamie County board of supervisors. I will always be grateful for having known Nick and...

Nick was a tireless worker for our Orthodox Christian faith and his enthusiasm was contagious when he and Ursala returned to Appleton and I was the priest at his beloved St Nicholas. May his memory be eternal and God rest his soul and give Ursala, Nancy and the whole family strength. Now it is the turn of his children and grandchildren to perpetuate our Greek Orthodox faith

Dear Nancy and Karras Family, So sorry for your loss. Love, Matt LaPierre and Family

Karras' restaurant - the BEST milkshakes in town, and then years later, our first taste of delicious, authentic Greek food. My family and I have had the privilege of knowing the Karras families, and it always added to our dining pleasure when one of the brothers came out of the kitchen to chat with us. Nick was one of the kindest and most caring men I knew. Nancy, you remember how he listened and never judged. I will be forever thankful for the respect, kindness and understanding he had...

Sorry to hear of your loss, Nick. Like you, your father was a gentleman who was inspired by great women. We were blessed to know him.
Thinking of you and sending love.
Carol

My grandfather had a zest for life, knowledge, love and delicious cooking. I will always remember his warm smile and eagerness to share what he knew. He had a long and meaningful life and raised a wonderful family with my grandmother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The Karras family is the lovelist family I have ever known. I had upmost respect for Nick not only as a great community leader and fantastic father and grandfather, but also as the most devoted and loving husband that we can all be inspired by. I will miss him tremendously, and my thoughts and prayers are with you, Ursula and the family today and always...

Thank you everyone for such beautiful and heartfelt notes.
