Nicholas A. Labellarte

Dear Mrs. Labellarte and Family,
It was just today I learned of the passing of Nick. My sincere sympathy goes to You and your Family. He was a hard worker and a nice guy. He will be missed by all.

To the Labellarte Family, Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I grew up with Nick, attending St. James School in Maywood way back then, and even though Nick would only see me every few years when I would visit Chicago, and of course Johnnie's, he always remembered me as if I had been in yesterday. I was sad when he left Johnnie's, and sadder still to hear of his passing. He was a great guy.

Dear Judy & family, Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband Nick. I grew up in Oak Park, loved Johnnies, and got to know Nick when I would order beef etc. to take back to my home in St. Paul MN. Nick was always kind, helpful and fun to deal with. He was good to me and my family and friends. God Bless you, Dan Murray and family

I was a friend of the family as I was growing up in Maywood, and was friends with his younger brother Mike. I am sorry to learn of Nick's death.

To Mrs. Labellarte and family,
You don't know us; we are two of the many people who stood in line at Johnnie's for the best beef sandwich in Chicago. We were amused by Nick's style and impressed by the efficiency of the operation. I encouraged him when he was losing weight. We've moved from Oak Park but continue to stop at Johnnie's, like last Saturday, when we're nearby. Our sincere condolences. He seemed like quite a guy.

Dear Judy and Family:

I am really sorry for your loss. Judy, when I was going with Mike R. back in the '70's, we used to come over to visit you two a lot and just hang out in your kitchen. You were such a great couple. The four of us used to play games til the early hours of the morning. We'd laugh all night. Maybe you remember way back then. Nicky was so funny. Mike would love to hang out at the beef stand for hours while Nicky kept us amused. It was a fun time and so long...

I worked at the Sears Roebuck store @ Harlem & North from 1957-1992.Enjoyed many a worderful Beef sandwich dished out by Nick and those great pepper & Egg on Fridays. I'm sure right now he's in heaven at his Beef Stand saying to the apostles."You're next,pal"......My prayers to Nick's family....Frank J. Gambro
