Not sure what to say?

Mr. Macol has been in my mind and I found this when researching. He was an amazing human being. I attended TUS from 1978-1981 and yet when I called him in 2001 needing transcripts for nursing school, it was like reconnecting with an old friend. He not only remembered me but, we laughed and shared a few memories. I know he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Thanks Mr Macol for making a difference in mine and so many other lives.

My sincere condolences, Mr. Macol was ahead of the education system when they did not understand what learning disabilities meant. Small class sizes, breaks when when needed ( which could always include a quick ride to Mc D for a hash brown!) He understood this gap and provided many adults today a path of graduation they never thought they would see, and the self pride that also follows. I know the big man is taking care of you up there, because of all the patience you shared here. May you...

Mr. Macol was my 7th grade teacher at Whittier School. (I was the one who transported notes between him and the young teacher across the hall who later became his wife ). When I was commuting by train to grad school in NYC, he was in charge of scheduling substitute teacher assignments for the Board of Education. Mr. Macol made sure I had work and allowed me the flexibility to work around my studies. Rest In Peace, Mr. Macol.
