Not sure what to say?

Helen, I am sorry to hear about Nick, I thought of you both often!! I will miss his steaks on a sizzling platter!

Helen and family, I am so sorry to know of Nick's passing. May his memory be everlasting and may God hold you all close.

My husband, Angelo, passed 4 years ago but I remember him speaking so highly of Nick Mantis! Memory eternal and everlasting.

My Heartfelt sympathies to you and your family Helen. You could see his joy watching his grandson play basketball for Lowell H.S. I will keep you in my prayers. May God comfort you in the days ahead. Love, Janice

Heartfelt sympathies to the entire family. Nick was a dear friend and my basketball mentor. In my opinion the best all around player in Northwest Indiana history. I can only imagine the basketball stories he is now sharing with Coach Baratto & Nick's friend and teammate George Stepanovich.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Angelo, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. My condolences to you, your family, and friends. Your dad was, and will always be an icon in the Calumet Region.

Helen and Mantis family,
Another East Chicago Washington Senator joins coaching great, Johnny Baratto in heaven. It's hard for us to understand how Nick's suffering has now turned into a time of celebration and joy for him now that he is in the land of no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears. May your memories of Nick soothe you, your friends and relatives comfort you, and your family's strength help your hearts begin to heal. May the love you all shared sustain you through...

Teta Helen, Angelo, and Family:
We're so sorry to hear of Uncle Nick's passing. I have so many great memories of him growing up. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all.
