Nicholas E. "Nick" Parrish, 23, son of Laura Sweasy Parrish of Lawrenceburg, died of a drug overdose on Monday, April 11, 2016.
Born July 8, 1992, Nick was a 2010 graduate of Anderson County High School where he was a member of the golf and tennis teams. He attended Bluegrass Community & Technical College and currently worked for Sharp Lawn Inc. in Lexington. A member of the First Christian Church, he served on the audio/video production team and played church league basketball and softball.
Including his mother Laura, Nick is survived by his daughter Emma Kate Jackson; maternal grandfather Billy Sweasy of Lawrenceburg and his late grandmother Pam Giles Sweasy; a brother, Kelly Parrish (fiancée Mabel Truong) of Houston, TX; a sister Johanna (Jason) Dickerson of Mt. Washington, KY; two half-sisters, Jennifer Parrish of Lexington and Mary Parrish of IN; two nieces and a nephew Haley, Allie, and Will Dickerson; an aunt and uncle Gwen and Greg Peach; cousins Adam and Jacob Peach.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 14th at First Christian Church, 300 S. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY. The Rev. James Wheeler will officiating the services. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Wednesday and after 11 AM Thursday at First Christian Church. Cremation will follow the services.
Memorials in memory of Nick are suggested to Hope Center Recovery for Men, 250 W. Loudon Ave., Lexington, KY 40508 or Back Pack Buddies, c/o First Christian Church, 300 S. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
