I had the distinct pleasure of serving in Senator Petris' office in Sacramento as a Senate Fellow and a legislative consultant in 1981-82. I found Senator Petris to be an able and dedicated advocate for his constituents, and a highly respected legislator among his peers. Working for Senator Petris was one of my most treasured experiences. He was a fine man whom I respected tremendously. My condolences to his family.

Hon.Petris.....was the voice for those with who had none. Champion for the underdog....helped bring my mom here from ravaged Greece following WWII and the Civil War....a kind hearted, genuine, non-pretentious GREEK.....AXIOS in every way. Wish there were more like him.
