Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry that I am just now seeing this about Dr. Pizzolato. I grew up in Northport off Elwood Rd. When I was a little girl I used to suffer from terrible ear aches and allergy-like symptoms. I remember Dr. Pizzolato coming to our house in the evening as I lay in agony on the sofa, unable to sleep. I remember him placing warm drops in my ears. For some reason I always remembered his last name even though I don't remember a lot of details from my childhood. My family moved to Northport...

It is with a heavy heart we the members of Rolling Thunder Chapter 3 PA, join the family and friends of Nicholas Ferdinand Pizzolato in mourning the loss of a brother in arms. His willingness to stand on the wall that separates good from evil and declare,” no harm will come to you tonight, not on my watch” made our life the most secure in the world.
As an organization, Rolling Thunder Chapter 3 PA. Salute’s the memory of Nicholas Ferdinand Pizzolato and the service he rendered...

Uncle Nicky—
You are my mother Marie (Mandina) Levitt's cousin. Your mom and my grandfather Vito Mandina are brother and sister. I loved the times we visited you and your big family. You were my pediatrician. I remember those visits, the TV fish tank and the house calls too! You were such a great person to so many and you will be missed. With deepest sympathy to the entire family from Jerry Levitt, Kim Greenheim and Alyssia Berkowitz and our families.

I lost track of Nick after I left Lausann. We knew each other in medical school in Switzerland. I looked in the phone book for his son after I saw the obit, but he is not in there.
Sorry to see that he is no more. He was really the best.

I'm 58 now, but "Dr. Nick" was my pediatrician when I was a little girl in East Northport. I remember his calm and reassuring manner always made me feel safe and secure in his care. I also remember him coming to the house when we were too sick to get to his office. He was a great doctor. I've never forgotten him. My deepest condolences to his family.
