Dr. Nicholas Ponzio

I am saddened at the loss of Nick, A cherished colleague and friend. During our 25 years together at the medical school, Nick demonstrated his strong commitment to scientific inquiry, education and ethics. He was a guiding light and he will be missed.

Patty, Cathie and I are heartbroken over Nick's passing. He was a cool guy - always happy to see us at our Summit High Class of '62 reunions. I'll always remember rehearsing and performing with our doowop group, The Significants. Warmest condolences to you and your family.

We will always remember the visits you and Nick made to Florida. Great times and good memories. Nick will be missed. The spring has truly lost a friend.

I was a graduate student in Dr. Ponzio’s lab from 1986-1991. He was a great mentor - always direct and to the point. He expected your best and you always knew where you stood with him. Things I learned from him stayed with me over a more than 30 year in biotechnology. I am forever grateful for the experience of working with him. My condolences to his family and take comfort in a life well-lived that impacted a lot of young scientists.
