I met Nick in 1988 when I was promoted to the Outside Plant Engineering group for Bell in Ann Arbor. Nick was a Line Foreman there at the time. on one of my first jobs, the layout group forgot to put the North arrow on the print! so naturally Nick held up the print and asked me which way was north? He became my go to guy when I needed his line expertise on a given situation! Nike was like an older brother to me. He liked to harass me, but I could take it. We had a mutual respect for each...
