Not sure what to say?

I HAD NO IDEA MR. SAWKA PASSED UNTIL TODAY... I WISH I WOULD'VE KNOWN I WOULD'VE WENT TO THE FUNERAL...
BUT MR. SAWKA WAS A GREAT TEACHER! HE WAS MY FAVORITE AT HILL SCHOOL!
HE IS DEFINATELY GOD'S ANGEL!

R.I.P MR. SAWKA
YOU WILL BE MISSED!

I only met Nick once (when he came to pick up his medical records) but from that first day he always stuck in my head, he had such a great sence of humor, and I could tell he was a good man. A couple weeks after I met him he called my job to speak to me and thank me for being so helpfull and kind. The world needs more people like him around... I wish I could have met him years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Beth and Ann are like sisters to Krysten and I. Our parents dated for many years. My childhood was full of adventures at Nick's house on the River with my mom and his girls. We had many a trip in his wonderful station wagon. Beth, Anne and I would sing songs and play car games. Nick was a wonderful father and cared for my sister and I as if we were his own. Krsyten and I are thankful that he and his family were in our lives. His memory will forever live in our hearts. Beht and Anne, we love...

Nick was like the only Uncle I ever had. Not by blood but to me he was family. He always had time to go thrifting with my mom and bring back banana bread. He was awesome, always laughing despite the pain. I heard a lot about his daughters, I could sit here and write a lot of it down but i would feel foolish. This is about Nick lol. Anyways heres to you Uncle Nikki!

Nick was always so generous and funny! He always made our family laugh. He really cared for his daughters. He will be missed. You girls are in our prayers.

Beth and Ann - You and the rest of the family our in our thoughts and prayers. We had many laughs with your dad as we grew up and he will always be remembered.

Nick was such a wonderful man. He was always talking about his latest treasure hunt and findings. Nick was very family oritented. He always had pictures to show off of his daughters and his grandson. He told me a month ago, that he knew things were heading the other direction and he just wanted to hold his new granddaughter. I miss his smiling face and the encouragement and hope that he always gave me regarding my mom and her cancer. I will miss him terribly.

Much of my teaching career in West Aurora was while Nick was a second grade teacher at Freeman School. No teacher ever cared more for his pupils than Nick did. If a life is truly measured by its deeds rather than its duration, Nick lived a full life in his 55 years. All who knew him will miss him.

He was a wonderful man - And an excellent teacher. Our son was fortunate to have him as a teacher and it was an honor to have known him.
