Nicholas Zingo

I´m just seeing this he was my professor at LACC and he was an amazing teacher always straight forward and motivating.

Nick and I were classmates at the LAPD academy class 1-75. God bless his soul.

Just learned of Capt. Zingos' death. Very shocked and saddened. I emailed him when he was an LAPD Lt. to see if we could trade patches and other 'swag' from our departments. He was VERY generous and sent many items which I have to this day. I always promised him that if I ever made it to LA, I would be knocking on his door. I went back to college at 60 and Professor Zingo was my first professor for an online class called Anatomy of a Murder. He was so encouraging and full of passion for his subject matter. He made me want to learn more and always question my research and delve deeper into subject matter. I was fortunate enough to meet him in person one day and just adored him. He loved his students, his classes and was so enthusiastic about life. He will always hold a special place in my heart!

Struck by the sudden lightening of loss all that is left are silence and stillness. We share in your sorrow with love. It has been an honor and with great admiration to call him Uncle Nick. Memories will be cherished.

He was the best criminal justice professor in Moorpark College. The last two semesters with him have been the most memorable. I will never forget what I learned from him. Thanks for everything professor! Rest in peace.
