Not sure what to say?

Sal, what a shock for me to hear about Nick, I´m so sorry for your great loss. Wrestling picture was amazing! He certainly was a presence of strength.

Was very sad to hear the news about the great Nick D'Angelo. I was a freshman heavyweight in 1983, the year that Nick won the National Championship at 190lbs in wrestling. He and I and Mike Albino (and others) used to battle in practice every day. We were so proud of him when he was on the podium. Godspeed friend. I hope we meet again. Blessings to the family.

Have many great memories playing college football with Nick at John Carroll University. A gentleman on and off the field. We both played defense at JCU on the football team and remember Nick well in the huddle. More importantly I played on the defensive line and Nick was often a linebacker behind me. Many times I was grabbing onto a running backs foot or leg to slow him down when I was met with "Nick the Brick" driving me and the running back yards the other way with that...

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved Nick. I had the pleasure of being one of Nick's wrestling teammates at John Carroll University. I recall Nick always being positive and fun-loving...kind of a "gentle-giant" considering his tenacity on the football field and on the wrestling mat. Another mutual friend called him "Nick the Brick" because he was solid and strong and immovable on the field. May you be comforted in this time of sorrow by your loving memories...

Prayers and thoughts to Sal and his family on the passing of his brother. I remember covering your wrestling matches and football games at Lake Catholic and I'll always remember this. Not only were you guys great athletes, but you were gentlemen and very classy, so your late mom and dad did a great job. RIP, Nick. You did good.
