The 4 years I spent with Nick in marching band and Percussion Ensemble in high school I remember fondly. He and I lost touch after graduation, but I'd hear about him from time to time from others in our circle. He was a salt-of-the-earth person. If he wasn't in on it, he put up with our foolishness in high school splendidly. I am sad at his passing. All the best to his family and friends.

I had only met Nick one time in person because of the pandemic, but we lived near each other and we had spoken about beer and the best internet in the neighborhood. 99% of the time Nick won our weekly team trivia contests, and our playful accusations of cheating rolled off his back because he knew he was right. We did, too. He was a sweet and brilliant person and his photo shows me someone I wish I had known better. HIs memory will continue to be a blessing on the Engie team as he was...
