Not sure what to say?

He was the most hard working painstakingly caring dr i have ever met. He inspired and nurtured great aslirations in me. Im so sorry he has died. We were all the better for his life. RIP Dr. Drakos

I went for decades with nobody really helping me till I met Nick draco's. I'm sorry to hear that he's gone. The world for dimmer place with that and I'm sure.. I truly missing I already have. Signed Loren Scott teter sr .... He was my friend at Nara. ..

I met Nick in the late 70's when he was in med school at UC. Although academic pressure was great he was always easy to be with and we entertained each other with anecdotes of our life experiences. We remained in touch during his boat building escapades in NY and studies at U of L but lost contact after he moved to Oregon but I always felt our paths would cross again. Before graduating from UC he gifted me a white blood stained doctor's lab coat which I never wore but still hangs in my...

We were somewhat aware of his pain but, Carole, you captured the real essence of Nick. There is so much of Nick´s personality, his interests, and his humor, that is back pain kept us from knowing about. The Leonard Cohen line, "We are so lightly here" really captures the brevity of life, and how important it is to appreciate every day. Our fond condolences.

I didn´t know Nick, which is a shame. After reading his obit in the Oregonian and seeing his picture, I am 100% positive I would have loved being his friend. My condolences to his family and friends, who are surely bereft. And kudos to the person who wrote the tribute to him that made him come alive to a complete stranger.

I always thought that Nick liked people to think he was gruff and could bite your head off, but it was always clear that he was kind and caring and fun. He and Carole were kind enough to let my husband and I have our wedding in the beautiful home they created. I enjoyed his quirky sense of humor, the music he was always listening to, his wry smile, and the twinkle in his eye. I'm glad he's no longer in pain but so sorry for his passing. My heart goes out to you, dear Carole.

I worked with Nick Drakos at NARA. He will be missed.

Dear Carole, If you read this, please know that I am sorry for the loss of your long-time partner, Nick. It has been several years since we have socialized together, but I alway found Nick to be funny, smart, and idiosyncratic. I know you will miss him.
