Not sure what to say?

The very first blues CD I ever owned was Nick's My Labors CD. Finally got to meet him at a concert in Lowell Mass where he signed the CDs liner notes. Nick, you are the reason 50+ years later that I will NEVER stop listening to the blues. Rest well my friend.

Was the stage manager for a benefit concert Oct 26th 2003.The line up was impeccable and Mr Gravenites head lined. Best of memories. What an honor to work with a legend and gentleman who I respected from the first time I heard Born in Chicago in 1965. An all time favorite. RIP Mr Gravenites along with Michael

My Condolence.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Such a talented singer and more. He was also a musician and songwriter. A great career. Sincere condolences to the Gravenites family, truly sorry for your loss. May God be with you all in your time of loss.

Enjoyed Nick's work with The Butterfield Blues Band, and The Electric Flag. And I was delighted to hear that, later in his life, he settled in my home area of Western Sonoma County, CA.

RIP Nick
