Not sure what to say?

Our family has such fond memories of Nick...he, Paul Wheaton, Jerry Armstrong, and my dad (Jack Monnin) were good friends and met weekly for years to resolve the 'problems of the world'. Nick was a true gentleman and demonstrated faithfulness, kindness, and integrity to all who knew him. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

Uncle Nick is a bright light everywhere he goes; including where he is right now. I got to enjoy hearing him play the clarinet, and had a cigar with him just last year.

A treasure of the Greatest Generation and we'll all hear "he was my favorite uncle" a number of times over the next few days.

I have wonderful memories of Mr. Mackris and the graciousness and kindness he showed to our family. I even remember the cookouts from years ago. He was a close friend to my parents for many decades and my Dad always enjoyed his meals out with their Kiwanis group. I last saw him at my Dad's funeral 2 years ago. My deepest sympathies and prayers to the Mackris family.

Good-bye, Uncle Nick. You were very dear to us. You are part of the Greatest Generation and we are very proud of all you did for this country and our family. You always made us laugh and you had a calm spirit. We will always remember the Christmases spent and your wonderful calamari! Pretty darn good for a Greek! We believe you are at peace. We will miss you.

To Mrs. Mackris, Diane and Kathy,
My heart goes out to you during this time.
There are so many wonderful memories of your parents from over the years growing up on Homewood.
I know my dad has stayed in touch with your dad over the years and will be sadden with your loss.
The group of 7 ladies wrapping bandages for the American Cancer Society was very special. Add in the husbands and there was always a great party going on.
Hugs to all of you. Mary Beth Krippel Westermeyer

We are very sorry to hear about Nick. Getting together for Kiwanis meetings and things like swim meets was a lot of fun! We have many memories together, and will miss him.

Sorry to hear of Cousin Nick's passing. I will always remember his gentle manner when we spoke. Another member of what was an absolutely beautiful
family is at peace now. Oh those family picnics and all the good times we spent together. Rest in Peace Nick! Love Cousin Jeanette (Jeanie) Parillo
