Not sure what to say?

I'll never forget when I learned of Nick's passing. I was doing my first half-marathon (San Antonio Rock & Roll Marathon & Half-Marathon) and when we reached the Brackenridge Park area, the pictures of fallen soldiers lined the path. I saw his picture and read his name and choked back tears as I continued on. I hadn't spoken to him in YEARS but remembering some of our conversations...they were some of the best. He was hilarious! I'm sure he cracked up his fellow soldiers and made a big impact...

To the family and friends of Pfc. Nickolas A. Tanton:
It has truly been my honor to sign Nickolas' guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Nickolas will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

Man do I miss this guy... Sometimes I just think about what I would be doing if you were here today, like right now.
I will always remember how much you made me laugh. A true friend.

To the family and friends of Pfc. Nickolas A. Tanton:
Always remembering Nickolas. "Some gave all."

The sacrifice Nickolas made for us all is not forgotten. It was an honor to Stand Tall and Silent at his services with the PGR.
