Mr. Louis Ragin Brockington was born on May 10, 1943 to the late Fred Brockington and the late Mariah Brockington. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 22, 2025 after an illness.
Louis was educated in the public schools of Florence County and was a proud graduate of Wilson High School.
Louis served in the United States Air Force from March 19, 1963 to March 18, 1969. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran.
Louis was employed with S & W Printing then later became employed with Trac Printing.
Louis was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church #1 in Timmonsville, SC for many years. He served as a faithful Trustee member and member of the senior choir and male chorus.
Louis was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Mariah Brockington; children, Louis Brockington, Jr. and Cynthia Durant; sisters, Janie Bass, Marian Coston; brothers, Jerry Brockington and Terry Brockington.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Sadie Mae Brockington of the home; six children, Colette (Cynthia) Brockington, Darrold (Patricia)Harper, Yvonne (Allen) Davis, Reginald Harper, Lemar (Antoinette) Harper and Kasean Harper; one brother, Fred (Rose Ann) Brockington; three sisters, Shirley Hines, Madelyn Wylie and Brenda Timmons; twenty-three grandchildren; a host of great grands; three god-daughters, Deneda Hines, Teresa Smith and Felecia Brooks and a host of loving in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home beginning Friday, September 26, 2025 thru Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 5 PM - 9 PM, 1639 Joe Nathan Lane, Timmonsville, SC.
