Mr. Jimmie McWhite was born on December 1, 1941, the oldest son of the late David McWhite and Elma Lee (McNeil) McWhite. He departed this earthly life October 27, 2025.
Jimmie was educated in the public schools of Florence County and was a graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1960. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged.
He was united in holy matrimony to Rosa Jo Grant on March 27, 1965.
He retired from United Technologies Corp. in September of 2005 after 40 years of dedicated service.
After retirement, he and his wife relocated to Pamplico, South Carolina.
He was predeceased by his parents David McWhite and Elma Lee McNeil McWhite and three sisters Georgie, Dixie and Dianne.
He leaves to mourn his precious memories: his wife, Rosa J. McWhite; one daughter, Audrey Michelle; grandchildren, Nancy, Amanda, Kristen and Brandon; great grandson, Khamari; three brothers, Arthur (Annell) McWhite, Samuel (Katie) McWhite and David F. McWhite; one sister in-law Mary E. (J. Daryl) Wood; and a wealth of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends whom he adored!
Family will receive friends starting Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 4 PM - 7 PM at the home 2119 N. Old River Road, Pamplico.
