Sandra Smith McWhite
Salitllo – Sandra Smith McWhite, 83, passed away at home in Saltillo, Mississippi, after a long illness to her eternal rest in Heaven on September 29, 2025.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1942, she was the daughter of Oliver Smith and Mellie Smith Revis, both deceased, and the husband of Leon M. McWhite.
Mrs. McWhite received an associate degree from Anderson College in South Carolina and worked as a legal secretary, minister's secretary, and church librarian. She was a faithful member of Baptist churches wherever her family resided. She loved reading, playing the piano, listening to music, and studying the Bible.
Surviving are her two daughters, Sally Leigh McWhite (Wiley C. Prewitt Jr.) and Kimberly McWhite Hodges (Frank); and her three grandchildren, Will, Mary and Sam Hodges.
A private service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025. Afterwards, a visitation for family friends will occur at the home of Frank and Kim Hodges between 12:00 and 2:00. Pegues Funeral Directors are entrusted with the care of her arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
