We've never seen each other again but there's alway those people that touch your lives even being as young as we where..... You'll be forever missed Nick

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Welch,

I am writing to you to let you know that I believe I have found your son's fallen soldier dog tags. I found them on the beach in Panama City, Florida perhaps 2 years ago, and realized they were in lost in my beach bag. I just found them today, and I would very much like to return them to you if they are yours and if you would like to have them.

My deepest gratitude to your son's ultimate sacrifice!

We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Welch Family know that we recently made a small donation to St. Baldrick's Foundation to Fight Pediatric Cancer in honor of Nickolas S. Welch US Army Specialist. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you...

Mr. and Mrs. Welch, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son. My son is an infantryman in the Army and will be deploying soon to Afghanistan. I teamed up with Wear Blue...Run to remember as a way to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. I was given your son's name for my Memorial Day Marathon in Buffalo this coming sunday. I will run 26.2 miles for you and your son...his name and picture will be on the back of my shirt. I was shocked after reading the beautiful...

So sorry for your loss. Words can not even begin to express the sadness I feel for your family.

Sincerely
sister of fallen soldier SPC Brady Hammer
