It was such a pleasure to have known you, Nicky. I met you and Mary Jo through my dad, Andre Wauters in NYC in the late 70s-80s. I still cherish the little portrait you made of me for my 16th birthday in 1980. I remember your positive energy. Happy painting and creating wherever you are.

Nicky is unique and without peer. I’ll always remember his kind and thoughtful friendship, his generous spirit, and his humor. What a guy!
