Not sure what to say?

We extend our condolences to the Caputo family for your loss of a truly wonderful man. I remember meeting him over 50 years ago in their first Red Rose on Main St. I knew back then that he was someone special. The food somehow tasted even better because he made it. God rest his kind soul.

Our hearts are filled with grief and sadness for the loss of a truly wonderful guy. I met Nick at Springfield Sportsman´s Club shooting skeet. For many years we enjoyed dining at Red Rose and meeting Edda and his great children. Nick will be sadly missed by all that knew him. All our love to the Caputo family.

Dear Nick, I miss you. You always called me "Nicolini" and made all my trips to the Red Rose special as a kid. I'm proud to have known you, and proud to be related to you and of our families history. I miss you, and I will never forget you, your warmth, and your kindness. Love, Nick

I´m so saddened to learn of Nick´s passing. He was always joyful and welcoming. Sending hugs to Edda, Cammy, Rita, Tony, and the whole family. xo

I was saddened to read of the loss of Mr. Caputo. Carmela, Tony, and Rita: hug your Mom for me. You are all so fortunate to have enjoyed so many years with him. My sincere sympathies.

I grew up in the South End and have fond memories of going into the original Red Rose, it's an unforgettable place and has only gotten better with time. At Red Rose, the Caputo family has always been one of caring and great hospitality and it obviously started with Nicola. His family is a strong testament to his values and will carry on his legacy for years to come. God Bless his soul and his family.

A great person never talked bad about anyone. And Edda she´s a saint. God bless

Dear Edda and Family... Our most sincere condolence for the passing of Nick. I've known both of you since you first opened the Red Rose in the early 60's. When we moved from Longmeadow to Sarasota, I talked to Nick about opening a Red Rose in Florida. We have been so happy to have known such a gentleman! Steve (& Judi) Simons

We loved Nick very much! God called home an angel! Our deepest condolences to all of his beautiful family. Diane, Paul, Norma Richard, Norell, JP and Ryan
