Not sure what to say?

My mother and I were just in Scotland last month and we were talking about the Alexanders and reflecting on the amazing times they had with them in the 70's. My parents Michael and Mary Shannon will be saddened by this news but will smile in rememberance of the full life Mr. Alexander lead.

Pauline, Nikki and Bill,

Nick was a very special person and we are so very fortunate to have been able to watch the good deeds he brought to the East County community. His generosity was only exceeded by his great wisdom and personal commitment to make a difference in everything he believed in. We hope you all hold the memories of his great life near and dear to your hearts, because a NICK ALEXANDER only comes along once in a lifetime.

Here's to the "Batman" of the "Batman and Robin" (Steve Runyan) of the Chaine. Nick was a wonderful supporter of the education of the workers in the restaurant industry. I wish I had an old Rex Hill Maresh Vineyards Pinot left to toast him with!

The Ponzis recall many gala evenings of food, wine and laughter with Nick, Pauline and their many, many friends. His was a life to be celebrated and honored indeed! Our respect and sympathy to his family. Dick and Nancy Ponzi

Nic had an unbelievable life story. And its twists and turns made him a generous soul, a true lover and believer in the American Dream. Many a good bottle of wine I've shared with Nic and Pauline, the love of Nic's life. What a good man. I extend sympathy to his wonderful family.

Nick was a special man whom I greatly appeciated for his life's fantastic journey. Many a bottle of wine was shared with Nick and Pauline. A true patriot, one who loved this country and tried to make it better in many significant ways. My prayers will be with his family on Monday as you celebrate Nick's life. Nick will always be remembered by me as one of life's most interesting characters to share time with. He has left the world a better place. My sympathy to Pauline and her...

I remember many great times with the Alexander family while going through Reynolds High School with Nikki. My thoughts go out to his family during this time.

Nick Alexander was very much a larger-than-life figure to this 1980's teen with a parent working at AMI. Wishing much peace to his family.
