Sep 3, 1977 – Aug 28, 2020 (Age 42)
On Friday August 28, 2020 Nicolas Avila Jr, loving son, husband and stepfather, passed away at the age of 42, with his wife Chrystal by his side after battling kidney failure.
Nick was born on September 3, 1977 in Fallbrook California to Nicolas and Margarita (Cruz) Avila. He graduated from Fallbrook High School in 1995 and spent most of his professional career working as a customer service representative. He found the love of his life and married Chrystal on December 13, 2015 and became an instant father to their son Damian.
Nick was a wonderful family man to those close to him. Along with his mom his wife and son were his greatest love. Although they only had five short years together Nick and Chrystal had a love that was clear to anyone who knew them. Nick became a dad to Damian, who Chrystal had from a previous marriage, and took on his fatherly duties as if Damian was his own. When Nick was diagnosed with kidney disease, just six months into their marriage, they became an even stronger unit together fighting for his health.
Nick was an avoid lover of professional wrestling and a “Hulkamanic” for life. He started watching wrestling with his father at a young age and was a fan of Hulk Hogan from the first match he ever saw. One of his greatest memories was witnessing live when Hogan was entered into the WWE Hall of Fame. He was known for his quick wit, teasing nature, love of trivia, movies and music.
Nick is survived by his wife Chrystal, stepson Damian, mother Margarita, father Nicolas, sisters Claudia, Faby and Paola, countless aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his three best friends and honorary bothers Nate, Kelly and Jose.

Nick was one of the most loyal friend's I've ever had the privilege to know. I don't think he ever knew how important our friendship was, especially at the time we developed it, to me.
Nick was there (sometimes physically and sometime for support) for my wedding, for my graduation, for my dad's passing, for the day I brought my son home, watching wrestling, driving to school, eating donuts...Nick was there.
[Side bar: I was also there with him when Sting beat...

I was not honored with ever meeting Nicolas, but I do know Crystal for many years online and I know how much this man saved her and gave her a new better love story. May he rest in peace....
