Nicole Michelle Plourde, 49, passed peacefully on February 2, 2026, in East Hampstead, New Hampshire, surrounded by the loving family who cherished her throughout her life.
Nicole is survived by her father, Robert Gabriel Plourde; her mother, Debra Ann Plourde; her maternal grandfather Robert Hendry; her sister-in-law, Jessica Ann (Plourde) Hutter; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold her memory close. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Germaine Hendry, and her paternal grandmother, Josephine Peek. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Michael James Plourde, whose everlasting presence continued to guide and comfort her every day.
Nicole’s spirit was deeply tied to the ocean. Whether casting a line on a deep-sea fishing trip or gliding through the water beside dolphins, she found her greatest joy where the sea met the sky. Her love for animals, especially dogs, was boundless. Her two loyal companions were not just pets but her closest friends, sharing in her happiest moments and offering comfort in the quiet ones.
Nicole’s warmth, her laughter, and her deep love for the natural world will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known her. Like the mermaids who swim in the ocean, Nicole’s golden tresses will flow with her soul above the waves as she soars into the heavens to be reunited with those friends and family who longingly await to wrap her again in their loving arms.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 4pm - 7pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
