My sincere condolences to the family of Nikki Shelton, and also to her partner, Ross Grasso.
As a fellow travel writer, I met Nikki about 10 years ago, while we were both on assignment in the island of St. Kitts. I was fascinated by her keen sense of humor and love of adventure and travel. We spent many days laughing and talking about the world of journalism, and we continued to stay in touch all these years, even though she lived in New Rochelle and I live in Eastern Long Island.

Condolence, , Today Sunday April 21, I founded out bout Nikky. My heart dropped ., i feel so sad. As soon as i knew i went to Hudson to find out more. Too late for funeral ;/( when I go to H/P I see her, Last time we seen each other was like 3-4 wks ago. We didnt see each other since i had the surgery,in Nov.i remember they were in the car by the Pk lot.she was so happy to see me. She just got out the car almost felt .we always talked & , laughted, she was just beautiful.never stopped...

I was shock of Nikki passing. I just saw her in early March when she visited Florida. I am sure she is in a better place with her sister Rose and her parents. Rest in Peace

We were so saddened to hear of the death of your sister, Nikki. She was a good friend and neighbor to our mother, Carmela Smith, who lived next door for many years and passed away a few weeks ago. Nikki was quite attentive and consoling to us. Our mother alway appreciated her friendship.
