Not sure what to say?

We are so saddened by the loss of this wonderful pillar of the El Cerrito community. Generous of heart and spirit, Nick touched so many generations of families. We will truly miss him.

Our sincere condolences to the entire family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Nick. I worked with him at Frys' Food Stores from 79 to 84. He was the nicest person to work for. He was so helpful when it came to veggies and fruit. Thank you Mr. Bolla for all your wonderful kindness. Your going to be missed.

Chris, Pietro, Tracy, Anna and Family.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We remember Nick with so many wonderful stories and with much affection. Growing up at our house there was never an Angelo's Pizza story told without the mention of Nick - many great memories. Through my life you have accepted as a part of your family and I feel your loss.

My parents send their prayers and love to you all. In our hearts Nick will be greatly missed.

To the Bolla Family

Nick made Giovanni's a special place. Years ago, when I went to pay for my lunch at Fat Apples, I found that Nick had paid for me and a friend. When I tracked him down at the store, he said it was because I'd been a loyal customer. I told him this was better than the Lucky's Rewards program - and I then enjoyed his hearty laugh.

My condolences to the family.

Christine, and family,
Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you today and always. We know how each and everyone of us are blessed for having Nick in our lives. Thank you for sharing this wonderful man with all of us. He will be missed, but we also know that Grandma DeMartile as well as Daniel, Richard, Elmer and David are waiting with open arms to welcome him home.

Dear Chris, Peter, Kimberley, Theresa, Jack, Anna and Michael:
We were saddened to hear that your dear husband and father has passed away. Cancer claimed both my parents Frances (Giampolo) and Chuck Williams and it is the hardest thing to watch someone you love die that way. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Peter and Kim and family, Dave and I and the kids enjoyed meeting you at the family reunion in summer 05; Christine- I enjoyed reconnecting with you and Pam at Kathy's in...

Teresa and Family,
Though I never met your father, I do know we are connected. I believe the nights sky is the true ocean filled with beautiful stars, such as your dad. I was moved by his star and will never forget.
"Soave sia il Vento,"
May the breeze be gentle,
the breeze that takes your vessel on its course; May the waves be calm...
Love to you all,Jen Knuckles

“I was proud to be a member of the fat man’s club”
If you were a big guy you were a member of Nick’s fat man’s club!
I will never forget the fist time I met Nick, he had a blind date with Chris and I think the whole family was at Grandma’s house in Rodeo (for inspection), boy did he get the once over, the room was buzzing but Nick was pretty cool, (but the guy drove a Chevy!) un-cool in our family he really took a beating over that, Dan, Rich, Elmer and Dave really gave him a bad...

My condolences to the family. I worked in the office with Nick at Fry's. He was always the nicest, warm and fun person. He taught me how to pick cantalopes and what apples and cheeses went together. I've never forgotten. Over the years I've often thought about him as I chose my fruit and vegetables, and will continue to do so. Thanks Nick for all the knowledge you gave everyone.
