Not sure what to say?

Nikita was one of my best friends. He was always someone who was more than willing to hear what going on in your life and just be there to support me whenever I was in need. There are not many people out there doing everything they could to make sure the world is a better place, but he was one of them. Rest easy my man. I miss you.

The first time we met, Nikita didn't have any English yet and I'm afraid my Russian was as non-existent then as it is now. We spent the afternoon without the need for explanations - turning cartwheels in the backyard and battling chess pieces in my bedroom - unbeknownst to me, the only time I'd ever get close to matching him at the game. Our meetings over the years were as sporadic and unexpected but just as inexplicably familiar as that first. It was like I was speaking to a cousin. It was...

Out family is so sorry to hear of Nikita's passing. He was a wonderful and bright young man. We want you to know we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.

I am so sorry to learn of Nikita's untimely passing. I taught him music at Cathdral Basilica School. Nikita was an exceptional student.

Our son played on the chess team with Nikita. He was a fun, engaging kid. He had a remarkable story that is a great example for any young person. So sorry. He will be missed by many.

Our son Will was in Nikita's group at summer camp. Nikita was fantastic with the kids and always so energetic. We are heartbroken to hear of his passing.

Forget you Not

My family is saddened to hear of Nikita's passing. Our children had fun times with him at SLU summer camp. My son remembers his funny stories and the way he makes interesting faces that made them laugh. He lived an amazing life and will be greatly missed.

My son, Jackson, was in Nikita's group at SLU Summer Camp nearly all summer long and just loved him so much. Nikita was so great with the kids...and not a bad chess player, so my 8 year old son says. I, too had the pleasure of getting to know him over the summers...what a great young man, who will be so, so missed by the kids, families, and entire Saint Louis University community that came in contact with him.

Nancy - We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We know Nikita will be missed. You are in our prayers.
