Not sure what to say?

Nina will always embody for me, the gracious persona of an earlier era. She truly did things with verve, with that kind of spirit & enthusiasm that makes the world a better place. I will always remain grateful for the wonderful ways our lives became intertwined.

Nina was my "Nana" and, as with Robin and Sarah, a friend and always such good company. I have so many fond memories of our times together and the laughs to go along with. I will miss her and am so grateful she was part of my life.

Nina, my friend of many years, I miss you. We had a wonderful time celebrating our August birthdays together, and I remember the time we did it by riding on a Ferris wheel, when you were about 80 and I was about 70. We sailed up the Hudson one time, and we had many dinners together, many long chats, fun at your swimming pool, and much much more. I was lucky to have you as a friend. Sadly, Betsy

Nina Engel: August 21st, 1914-Thanksgiving, 2014.
My grandmother and pal, Nina Engel said on her 100th birthday, "I'm ok being 100, but I do not want to live to 101." She passed away on Thanksgiving, and on her late husband Louis's birthday in her own bed, aged 100.

Thanks, Mama, for being there for me in so many ways. I love you so much, and am truly lucky to have had you as a grandmother, and as one of my best friends. My sisters and I agree that time with you could feel like...

I will always remember your cheer, enthusiasm, remarkable stories, and the incredible legacy you built to benefit others. And at home you had extra energy to make all our family gatherings special and so memorable that you will live on in us forever. Thank you. Love you and miss you Nana.
