Not sure what to say?

I moved in next door to the Franks in August 1971 with two other men to start a campus ministry at ENMU with the Navigators, an international Christian Ministry. The Franks were great neighbors to us out-of-towners. She gave me the first two copies of her "The Best to You" which I still enjoy reading through and looking at her paintings. Wishing her entire family a very Blessed Christmas Season.

I worked part-time at Franks grocery while finishing up at ENMU in 1951. Franks was a real family grocery with all members of the family working there. But as well as N. B., Nina was always on the job, keepings things going. I must say that in all my 93 years I have never seen anyone else as devotedly efficient as a manager, but always cheerful and kind at the same time, as Nina Franks. I might add that the money I made at Franks helped my wife, the former Wanda Cummings, and me a great...

Nice to be reminded of such a nice lady. I still look at the beautiful little books that I have. I read about Bettie (and David) passing away in the ENMU alumni magazine. Its sad to lose good friends. We loved being neighbors in Thoreau when Billy Roy and David Lee were in 6th grade. Rita and Darrel were not far behind.

Betty and Family, Your mother was such a good friend to my mother and aunt(Una Smith and Ola McCasland) and to my son Billy Roy when he visited David Lee at her home. I lost Mother and Daddy and my husband within 6 months in 2003. I have seen some of your mother's little books in mother's things. Sorry we didn't find out in time to attend the service.

Nina B was a kind, lovely lady who showed me friendship when I attended ENMU as a young girl. I send sympathy to the family...to Betty especially, and know that Nina B is remembered with fondness. ...with love, Vi

Working at Franks Grocery while at ENMU was one of the greatest experinces of my life. The kindness shown me by Nina B. and N. B. made everything seem like a family affair. A pleasant memory.

Please accept the condolences of the family of Essie Livingston Mathews in Las Vegas, NM. Essie remembered Nina very fondly throughout her life.

I sorry to read of your lose. Delbert and I were friends having graduated from PHS in 1953.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
