Nina E. Hoover

Nina Elizabeth Strosnider Hoover, 80, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Hoover was born in 1927, in Winchester, the daughter of the late Otho and Beulah Strosnider. She retired as the owner and operator of Westside Beauty Salon in Winchester.

Her husband, Louis A. Hoover, whom she married in May of 1946 in Hagerstown, Maryland, preceded her in death in 1996.

Surviving is her son, Ronald L. Hoover of Winchester, Virginia; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and her brother, Red Strosnider of Winchester, Virginia.

One brother, Tyree Strosnider, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with the Reverend Doug Ebert officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Pangle, Nate Battaglia, Joe Strosnider, Wayne Strosnider, Steve Swick and John Smoot.

The family will receive friends on Monday, prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
