Not sure what to say?

My belated condolences to Dr Swidler´s family. I was her student from 1980-1983. She was a shinning light in my life when I most needed one. Her support of all her students was incalculable. RIP

Dr. Swidler was my favorite professor at Fordham. Her inspiring lectures in and out of the classroom and her tireless encouragement meant so much to me as an insecure young adult who was struggling to find her voice. I was heartbroken when I looked her up today to find that she had passed earlier this year. May her unique, confident, compassionate, brilliant soul rest peacefully.

I am saddened to hear the passing of Prof. Swidler. My heartfelt condolences for the family. She was a phenomenal academic; her anthropological field research on Baloch and Balochistan will always be revered and remembered by many of us. May you rest in eternal peace, Dr. Swidler!

I was saddened to learn of Nina's death. We were neighbors for many years and I got to know her through our work together in the building's tenants association. It was a privilege to have had that opportunity. My deepest condolences to her family.

I miss Nina's beautiful voice, her wise counsel. She was always "there" for me, a generous soul. I will miss her as long as I live.

Saddened to hear the untimely death of Prof. Nina Swidler. She was one of the dedicated Balochistanologist who had started her work in Balochistan during the early 1960s when she was doing fieldwork for her Ph. D.. She received her doctoral degree in 1962 and the title of her thesis was "The Political structure of a tribal federation: The Brahui of Baluchistan". Since then, she had published a number of papers on Kalat and the political structure of the Khanate. Among many of her publications...

I was hoping to meet her. Tha Baloch people will forever be indebted for her scholarship. RIP.

I am so very sorry to hear about Nina's death. I valued our long distance friendship very much indeed, and will greatly miss our often nightlong discussions about politics. Many condolences to her family for the loss of this exceptional woman.

I will miss my Aunt Nina. She was a wonderful woman with great intelligence and a quiet grace!
