Mr. Davila was a great teacher and I was privileged to be in his algebra class as a junior at Abilene High in 1985-86. He made our classes fun with his great laugh, wonderful personality and ability to make something as mundane as math come alive! A great man and teacher, he will be missed.

Mr. Davila was a wonderful teacher! He was funny, humble, and unflappable. He used progressive strategies to help his students learn even before those strategies had a name. Not only did he teach me algebra 2, but he has been one of my role models as a teacher. I speak of his influence often to other teachers! Mr. D will live in my memory.
