Not sure what to say?

Big Gus always had a twinkle in his eye!

I only met Gus a couple of times and did not know of all the many wonderful and honorable things he did for our country. I remember how dedicated he was to his son Richard attending NC State and getting his degree. You could tell from that brief encounter how much he loved his family. Oh how this country needs more men like him. To be so loved by youth, family, friends and his fellow man is quite a tribute. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family but what a wonderful celebration of life....

I never met Gus, but from reading his obit, I wish I had. I know this is a sad time, but Gus gave so much, I am sure he will live on forever. Enjoy your fond memories. My prayers are with you and your family.

What a great man. I still remember all the help he gave me during the years he sold sign supplies and I owned a printing company. Thanks to Gus I am still operating the printing company because of his encouragement and answers to questions. Thanks old friend and see you later on the other side.

Thoughts and Prayers to the whole family. Love,

I only met "Big Gus" one time, when he was installed into the Player's Retreat Hall of Fame. Hearing and reading about his accomplishments throughout his life help to explain why he will be missed by so many.

Gus was a great man, and our world is so much better because of his courage and love. Our prayers are with his family.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers will be with you and your family! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

It sounds like your father left no stone uncovered and lived his life to the fullest. A father that I'm sure you are thankful for and extremely proud to call him dad. Praying for peace and comfort for you and your family.
