In Loving MemoryNoel C.TaylorHappy 25th Anniversary in Heaven, Dad. Most people knew you as Noel C., Mayor or Reverend Taylor. For me your most important title was Dad, which in retrospect was your greatest role. Thank you for all the love and support- your legacy will inspire others for...

Not sure what to say?

A fine gentleman. Best Mayor Roanoke has ever had.

Definitely the best mayor in my 72 years of life.

Thanks for the memory of a gentleman and Christian servant to his community.

Although I didn't know Rev Taylor, personally, I have grown to admire him and am thankful to be a Roanoke native. Through his leadership, I was fortunate to grow up in a city that nurtured positive interracial interactions, which has had a significant impact on my life, in the best ways! I left Roanoke, in my 20's; now 25+ years later, my appreciation for Rev. Taylor and his influence on his community has grown, even greater. I wish we had many Noel C. Taylor's in the world of politics,...

Thank you for sharing a beautiful memorial I feel honored to have known you father professionally and casually, calling him Mayor Taylor and he calling me Brother John. Mayor Taylor was always so friendly and genuine whenever and where ever I saw and met him. He loved Roanoke and its people and he has been missed. It doesn't seem to have been 25 years. My prays are with you and your family, an amazing man. John Poff

Mr. Taylor was a real gentleman. He use to come to the office I work in. Mr. Taylor would shake hands with everyone in the waiting area, and blessed us all before he went in for his appointment. I today have not, ever meet such a wonderful man, or person in the whole fifty two years I worked in public. You and your family had to be the luckiest people in the world to have him as father, and your mother as your mom. What wonderful people they were. Take care. Love Pam.

The greatest Mayor in Roanoke history and just a wonderful man!

Your dad was so much a part of all the lives of long time Roanoke residents. He was the best mayor Roanoke has ever had.. I know you miss him.

Reverend Taylor was a man of grace, dignity and compassion in his personal, professional and spiritual roles. Back-in-the-day during revival week, guest ministers were fed supper in the homes of church members and I vividly recall that he returned to my home after the service to get the leftovers to take home with him after eating my mother's cooking..........and yes, that included the chitterlings.
