Not sure what to say?

Nola was an eager 7th grade student during the first year my husband taught at Eastern Christian Junior High School, took piano lessons from him, and became our wonderful babysitter. Then she became our friend though we lived miles away from each other. I´m sending deep sympathy to Vince and Mary Helen, whom I met only once just before her marriage. My late husband always loved hearing of Nola´s adventures.

I just heard about Nola's passing. We were good friends at Calvin College and Church of the Servant. Nola possessed boundless curiosity and energy, which she used to serve God and others. May her memory be for a blessing.

I´ve known Nola since my young age from Church of the Servant. She has always been a true believer of faith and an amazing servant of God. Thank you Nola for the love, light and kindness you've shown to our church, my family especially, and friends. Prayers and sincere condolences to your family and loved ones. It was a shock to hear of your battle with cancer for what seemed like a short period of time, saddened to know of your passing. May you rest in the arms of the Lord. We will miss you!

I knew Nola when we were both students at Calvin College. We liked hanging around the seminary section of the library. Her obituary is wonderful to read, but not as wonderful as her life was. Thanks to her for being a path more. Rest in peace, Nola, and rise in glory.

Thoughts are with you Vince and family.
