Read MoreI bought oil and gas leases in Vacherie for Republic Minerals in the 1980s, often used the ferry, and had the great pleasure of meeting Nolan Amedee. He was kind and gracious, and made me feel as though I was returning home each time I took the ferry.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. memories of Nolan letting me go up to steer the ferry boat and blow the horn, funny man my uncle.
