My deepest condolences for the family. Mr. Read was a true warrior of an attorney. He represented my late father Sgt. A.G. Barretto, when he sued the city for racial discrimination. My father was passed up several times for promotion at the police department for being Hispanic. Mr. Read championed and won the case for my father and got him rightfully promoted to Sgt.
My father and him remained good friends in their lifetime and Mr. Read represented me also in a civil case. Best...
