Not sure what to say?

I do remember Nolda's trips from OH to PA when she sold Quaker Maid lingerie. It was one of the first companies to use the home party method to sell their wares.

She would fly (one of the early business travelers) and layover in DC. At least one time she took our girls on board the plane to show them what the interior was like.

She was quite an astute businesswoman and later she and Bill owned a successful fabric store in Mt. Holly, NC. Kemper and I visited...

Nolda and I were members of a small and exclusive group, we were part of the six grandchildren of Jacob L. and Lillie Miracle Mullennax. The oldest, Kemper Simmons was born in March 1915 (d.2002) and Ardeth Howard in December 1915; Freda Helen Simmons in February 1917 (d. 1992); Nolda Howard was born in May 1919 (2005) ; Norma Nottingham in June 1920 (1998); and then I, Mary Kathryn Simmons, tagged along in March 1929. Our Mullennax grandparents moved from Ritchie County, West Virginia to...

Aunt Nolda was wonderful and a very special person. We always looked forward to seeing her when we took trips to Myrtle Beach. I know she is in a better place and enjoying herself with Bill. God Bless!

Nolda was my great Aunt and Aunt of my mother Mary Knapp. Bill (William Hellams) and my Grandmother (Mary Knapp's mother - Louise Hellams) were brother and sister. Aunt NoNo and Uncle Duc shared some special times with me and my family (There are 20 of us - Knapps). She lived in Tompson for a while but she always missed North Myrtle Beach, her friends, and especially her church. I was glad Marilyn was able to make arrangements for her to be close. I loved her.

Thinking of Nolda's family and friends through this time. Cherish and be comforted by your many memories. God Bless.
