Not sure what to say?

I was thinking about Ms. Reid today and decided to look her up. She was my elementary music teacher at Spann Elementary years ago. I remember her cart on wheels with big sheets of easel paper and all her musical props and instruments. She wrote out songs with words and pictures so we could follow along. I remember her passionate demeanor well. She taught us Christmas carols, the opera Carmen, Peter and the Wolf, fun Halloween songs and we would hold up our stick puppet at the appropriate...

It has been many years and many miles but I remember Mrs. Reid fondly. She tried to teach me piano but I have no talent. She was a wonderful woman. You probably don't remember me but I was your next door neighbor 50 years ago. All my prayers to you all.

Lynn:

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. I did not know her, but I know what it's like to lose a parent and my prayers are with you and your family. She must have been a great lady, because she raised a wonderful daughter!

We're all going to miss your mom so much! Carols just won't be the same w/o Mrs. Nona, tape measure draped around her neck and sewing apron securely fastened, wandering through the church adjusting a headdress here and a hem there.

My little girl was in her choir this year. Any Wednesday night that we saw her in the Fellowship Hall while eating supper, Anna Laura just had to go give Mrs. Nona a hug. I feel so fortunate that at least one of my children was able to learn more about...

What a wonderful woman your mom was. She not only helped the children, she helped the adults who were with her and the children. She will be sorely missed. Sweet memories and knowing in our hearts that we'll see her again someday can carry us through this hard time of grief. Much love to your family!

When I think back to all the things that your Mom taught me, the list goes on and on. From making sheet cakes to playing the piano, she was a wonderful teacher!
Your Mom was a very special lady and we all were so fortunate to know her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Nona was more than a cousin to me. She and George and you kids came into my life a bit late. Nona signed me out of the orphanage and got me started on an independant life , Nona and George stood in as parents at my wedding. They hosted a grooms dinner for me just as they supported their own children. Nona enriched my life in many ways both small and large . When I made mistakes , usually in judgement they help me work my way through them , with never a critical word.
I am very sorry to be...

How very special Nona has been to me. We have been friends for a very long time. I've never known anyone who was more generous in giving her time and talents to serve her Lord. She will truly be missed.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
