Not sure what to say?

We spent precious hours chatting and laughing over tea that had long gone cold in its cup. Once, Nora surprised me with a luncheon of ham. broccoli, and the best mashed potatoes in the world. A cooking lesson ensued, and I now know the lump free mashed potato secret.
Nora and the joy she radiated will be sadly missed.

Nora Jordan often said there is not enough music and fun in life, so she was determined to fix that, one song and joke at a time.
She emigrated to Cleveland in 1957 and in over 60 years in the United States, she never lost her Irish brogue or fondness for singing Irish songs. Her lovely voice attracted crowds when she would suddenly decide to liven things up by singing The Black Velvet Band, "Galway Bay" or some other Irish tune. Once on a packed ferry off Catalina Island in California...

Nora was a great and gracious lady; proper and proud yet humble, merry and wise. We hung on her every word (as best we could, through her rapid-fire brogue). Words of wisdom, humor, love; whimsical, wonderful tales of Ireland, her marriage and family and myriad people and experiences she enjoyed throughout life. And enjoy she did. Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayerful support. Your Mom and Dad will live forever in all of your grand family. God bless you all. Most fondly and sincerely,

dear Jordan family,
your dear Mom. I remember specially when we enjoyed her hospitality at Pat's wedding. The crew from ND campus ministry were there with you all, celebrating, enjoying stories. What a good memory. And you have many many to hold on to. love to you all.

To Mary, Maggie, and the extended Jordan family~

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your lovely mother. Such a joyful, faith-filled person who raised a beautiful and talented family!

Take comfort in each other, and the grand stories and memories you have of such a wonderful mother!

With sympathy~

Jordan Family, I have wonderful memories of your mom. She was always so much fun to be around. I loved the stories she told of when my mom(Mary Fallon Simon)and her first arrived here. The jobs they had, the dances they went to,etc. She always had a smile on her face and lit up any room she was in. She was a great story teller and historian. I will miss her. Your family is in my prayers during this difficult time. God Bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jordan family. I am sure that my mother Agnes Campbell Royer welcomed her and they both are watching over our families. She will be missed. God bless.
