Norbert J. Dreher, age 90 of Lakewood, NJ, died on Friday, 3/12/21 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.  He was born and raised in Irvington, NJ and lived in East Brunswick and Howell before moving to Lakewood over 20 years ago.  He was employed as a Store Manager with  A&P Grocery Stores for 44 years in several locations; last working at their South Plainfield store.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving his country in the US Army.  He was a parishioner of St. Luke’s RC Church in Toms River. He was an avid golfer who also loved speculating in the stock market, taking trips to Atlantic City with his brother Larry, and spending time with his family.  


He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Ann L Dreher in 2005 and by his siblings, Richard, Robert, Catherine and Dorothy.  He is survived by his loving children, Susan Pomponio of Barnegat, NJ and Thomas Dreher of Miami, FL; his brother, Lawrence C. Dreher of Brick; five grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, McKenzie, Logan and Bellamie; and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.  Friends may call on Thursday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home - 2170 Hwy. 88 Brick, NJ 08724. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 10:30 AM at St. Luke’s RC Church in Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
