Nordulf Debye

I have very fond memories of being a student in Dr. Debye's P-Chem class at Towson. He was kind, gentle, and fully committed to his students. He taught me one of the greatest lessons I've learn which was far beyond any lesson I could have mastered in the field of chemistry. I often think about our conversations and reflect on the life lesson I learned. It is a privilege to have known and leaned from Dr. Debye and I am grateful for the gift I received in our shared experience. Your legacy...

I took professor Debye´s physical chemistry class as a senior biology major at Towson. He opened my eyes. Before him biology was just black magic after his course I understood that everything that I had memorized had a reason. I Had never run into a curve before but got an "A" with my 72% test average. I have spoken fondly of him often over the past 45 years

I had the pleasure to take one of Dr. Debye's chemistry courses. Having just recently found out about his illness and passing days ago, my heart dropped. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

I feel so lucky to have been able to take one of Dr. Debye's courses. He had unbounded passion for science and teaching. He was always available to help with understanding topics from class. I also had the great opportunity to listen to Dr. Debye discuss his passion for science.

Dr. Debye was my instructor for P-Chem when I was at TSU. He was both a brilliant and wonderful man. I owe much to him for where I am in my carrer. May he rest in peace

Rest in peace Nordulf...I was so happy to see you again at your niece Honor's wedding and we had a chance to talk....the last time we did that was when tossed back a few on the eve of Norwig marriage to Michele when you and I stayed at the house and talked all night long...getting to know each other. I first met Dr. Debye when I was teaching a G&T high school class in forensic science at Towson University. He was the Chair of the Chemistry Dept at the time and took the time to come to several of my classes on Saturday mornings. Several years later I was hired by Towson University to direct their forensic science programs and Nordulf sat on my interview board.
