BAKER, Norma Jean - Of Burton, age 82, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center. Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 in the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, Chaplain John W. Gleason officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to the Avalon Hospice or Carriagetown Ministries. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Norma was born in Flint, Michigan on June 11, 1928 and was a resident of the Flint area and Burton all of her life. She married Jack E. Baker on February 1, 1947. Mrs. Baker was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 30 years and was a proud member of UAW Local #651, retiring on February 1, 1983. Surviving is daughter, Susan and husband Wayne Millard; seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, Sherri (Robert) Holden and their children Genevieve and Rachel Holden, Scott (Kelly) Smith and their children, Garrett, Kennedy and Chandler Smith, Tracy (Rick) Moorhouse and their children, Gabrielle, Jack Mitchell and Olivia Moorhouse, April (Jeff) Hawkins and their children, Alexis, Kamber and Jacob Hawkins, Kevin (Amanda) Smith and their children Amaya and Kendyl Smith, Trent (Andrea) Millard and their children Ashleigh and Gavin Millard and Amy Frantz. She was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Carole Ann Baker; husband, Jack and daughter, Linda Jean Smith.
