Not sure what to say?

I was 9 years old when Norma
married my brother Bob. Even
though she had 3 brothers and
2 sisters, she had to be over-
whelmed by the Hargett family.
But she finally learned how to
get a word in once in awhile.
She knew very little about cooking or baking but Mom took
her under her wing and she was
an eager learner. She and Bob
rented an old farmhouse out near our farm with woodstoves
and worn out linoleum floors.
She would scrub...

The warm, beautiful messages in this guest book must bring a great deal of comfort and pride to those who knew and loved Norma. She was a remarkable woman, but she was taken from us before she had a chance to fight for her life. She dealt with her death in the same way she lived her life, with dignity and grace.
Nikki offered some powerful advice in her guest book entry ... and if we all live by Norma's example, the world surely will be a better place.
Our deep sympathy to all who...

I was so sorry to hear of Norma's passing. How she managed to put up with all of us kids growing up always amazed me. I'll remeber her sweet smile and never ending patience with all manner of life. The bond between mother and child is what gives us all continuity but some how we carry on. My sympathy to all of her loved ones.
Namaste, Norma.

Many fond memories of Norma. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kenneth, Shane, Seth, Leah, and all of her family.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

Grandma Norma was one of the most generous and kind people I've ever known. She lived her life for her children and grandchildren and without her, I don't know where I'd be today. I'll miss her dearly. I will, however, always carry her example of unconditional love in my heart. May she rest in peace.

Norma was like an adopted grandma to me - I have known Marie since junior high and have so many fond memories of going to Norma's house for french toast or breakfast sandwiches and TV. She was always there to cheer us on at our swim meets and to see us off for our school dances. She's a wonderful and genuine person that I feel so lucky to have known. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family in this tough time.

Norma always gave of herself & her time like no-one else I've known. She loved her boys & grandchildren immensly. Norma would never give it a second thought when one of her grandchildren would ask her to run them to a game, a practice, or a friends house. Even at the latest hours of the evening or earliest hours of the morning. She loved fixing french toast, breakfast sandwiches & muffins for them before school. She looked forward each morning to getting up early and sitting with them at the...

Norma was a very special lady to many. She was a second "grandma" to so many children at Carol's daycare and a second "mom" to Carol for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family she was close to and so proud of. Rest in Peace Norma.
