Not sure what to say?

Over the years I saw Norma in many plays at all the theaters in GR. When she was in a play, I knew it would be good. What a wonderful actress; what wonderful memories for all of us!
I was in Italy when my children e-mailed me that she had died. I was shocked! I had just seen her the week before in "Mornings at Seven". At that time I commented to everyone I knew how impressed I was that she was able to memorize all those lines and be such an outstanding actress at 75. I'm so glad I saw...

Thank you Norma for your dedication to the arts that created opportunities for so many of us. You were talented, inspiring and absolutley hilarious! Kathy

Although I did not know her well, I took an acting workshop that Norma taught at the GR Civic Theater and I remember how fascinated I was by all her experiences. I could have listened to her for days! I remember how lucky I felt to learn from the best. Thank you Norma for helping to make Grand Rapids theater so great! You will be missed by so many people. God Bless!

My sympathies thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

Norma gave me so much advice on how to be a good educator. Her life was a living testament on how to be a great person.

She was the first to walk in with a tray of food during rehearsals, share a crazy joke, or just make you feel good.

I will miss this grand dame of the Theater and a quality human being. We should all use the tireless energy that Norma exhibited in making our community...

You are missed Norma.
"Tears are sometimes an inappropriate response to death. When a life has been lived completely honestly, completely successfully, or just completely, the correct response to death's perfect punctuation mark is a smile."
~ Julie Burchill ~

Our deepest sympathies to Norma's family, her dear friends and the City of Grand Rapids on the loss of a truly great woman. We are so glad we got to see her in "Mornings at Seven" doing what she loved most with people she loved and respected.

Bravo Norma for a lifetime of brilliant and inspiring performances, both on and off the stage.

Norma-

Kathy and I will miss you. We are so glad we had the chance to see your final encore appearance in "Mornings at Seven".

Smile down at us once in a while.

Mark and Kathy Oberlin

Today's lost to the community of Grand Rapids is a gain for heaven, for a truly remarkable woman has left us for a better place.

Thank you Norma for all that you have done for the arts in Grand Rapids. You have shown us class, discipline, courage, spunk, and have been a role model for many individuals. I hope that we will be able to continue your love and drive for the arts. Your voice, talent, presence and spirit will be missed. Thank you Norma - The angels and friends who...

My sincerest sympathy to Norma's family. Norma will always be "Cookie" to me which we used to call her at Catholic Central - I graduated with her in 1945. We had many great times then. I will remember going to Buth Dairy Store to get Ice Cream and she would give us extra large cones.
God speed Norma into your new life on that heavenly stage.
God Bless.
